The In-line Bacteria Filter is an additional filter to help allergy sufferers and would also be extra protection for people with infections or lung diseases.  They have a bacterial and viral efficiency of 99.9%.  The filter cleans the air as it leaves a CPAP, BiPAP or Ventilator machine before it enters the hose and mask, and is used along with the machine's built-in inlet filters to provide the cleanest air. 

It is a recommended CPAP supply compatible with almost all machines, and the average time people are using one filter is between 1 and 3 months, but it is easy to see when they need replacing through the clear filter cover as dirt will cause the filter to change from white to grey or black, and it is important to change them when this happens!  Some people will 'feel' when to replace them if their symptoms reappear (such as allergies, nasal congestion, wheeziness etc).

A single Filter can be purchased, or you can buy a Pack of 5, which is more cost-effective and also makes it easier to identify with a new one when to change the one in use by comparing the colour.

The In-line Bacteria Filter cannot be placed between the machine and the hose/tubing connection on machines which come with heated hoses, such as the Resmed's Climate Line Heated Tubing with the S9 and Airsense machines, Fisher & Paykel's Thermostat Heated Hose or the Respironics' own 60-series Heated Tubes.   In this case, the In-line Bacteria Filter could be placed between the hose and the mask, but bear in mind this will add weight at that connection.  However, the Bacteria Filter CAN be used with the Hybernite Heated Hose.

You will need a CPAP Hose Swivel Adapter for use with the Devilbiss Sleep Cube (Intellipap) Machine ONLY if you are using the fitted Heated Humidifier with your machine.

IMPORTANT

If you are using an APAP machine with automatic pressures which average out lower than 7 cm, please do not purchase these as they 'may' affect the airflow.

If the Bacteria Filter gets accidentally wet, allow the filter to dry before use.

Do not allow the filter to get too dirty before replacing with a new one, as this could affect the airflow.

I use these with my Philips system one. I take it everywhere travelling. In one of the locations where I make extended visits, this filter is black after 4 weeks of use proving its effectiveness. I suffer slightly from Athsma as well so consider this filter vital.

The reviews of this product seemed positive and so because i have been suffering from sinus issues i decided to give them a go. I am so glad i did.
The difference in air quality is incredible. So much cleaner, noticeably so, and my sinus became to clear almost immediately.
What i really liked was the air quality, which i can only describe as being "soft". It was so much nicer to be breathing and the air pressure, while being maintained enough to register on my auto CPAP, made it easier to breathe. I really, really like this product and recommend it 100%. It is also great value for money.
Hope 2 Sleep were brilliant as well. Excellent communication during and after the purchase and super quick delivery. I will definitely be a returning customer because of the service and value for money compared to other sites. Very happy

anti bacterial filter

Fitted the hose/mask well. Had to turn up the humidifier to prevent dryness which I think is to do with the filter capturing moisture. Filter itself has kept dry and there is reduced noise within the mask. Too early to determine the anti bacterial effect but there is marked improvement in comfort and quality of sleep.

I simply cannot survive CPAP without these filters and I know when they need changing without looking at them because I can feel my allergy symptoms coming back. I just wish I had known about them a long time ago as my struggles with my mask would have been cut down. I highly recommend them for anyone with allergies A****

Having used for one month the CPAP BACTERIAL FILTER (One) - For Allergy Sufferers. Here is my review and findings. I averaged 6.11 hours sleep per night according to the sleepyhead data readings for the period of use, which equates to 226.07 total filter hours. It certainly has reduced the amount of contaminated air that I would have been breathing had I not had the filter installed, which is surprising after only a months usage. I carried out a noise test with a DB meter on my Phillips System One RemStar Auto with A-Flex, with and without the Humidifier attached. In the intial ramp mode I found that with the humidifier attached there was insignificant reduction in the the noise level. With the humidifier detached the filter had the impact of reducing the noise by 3db. The difference to my allergies is amazing compared to not using one

I have been using these filters for over a year now so thought it time I gave them a review. The difference to my allergies is amazing compared to not using one and I can't understand why we don't get them supplied from the hospital. Still it's worth it to me as I feared I wouldn't be able to continue my CPAP! I use about one a month and I know when to change them as my nose allergy comes back with a vengeance. I'm rather ashamed at the dirt which shows up on the used filter even though I hoover my bedroom twice a week and clean my bedside cabinet area daily. I hope everyone finds this as I have what I consider a clean house. It's no wonder my allergies were bad before I found these filters as the dirt would have ended up in my mask, that's for sure!

ORDERS

We try our best to ship all orders received by us Monday-Friday on the same working day if received before 12 pm, and more often than not orders processed before 3 pm will be despatched the same day whenever possible.  Weekend or UK bank holiday orders are sent out the next working day.  An automated email is sent when products have been despatched so please check your spam box and as us to your safe senders list.

There is the option for UK 1st or 2nd Class Mail in the UK.  Masks and some other more expensive products are always sent via 'signed for' delivery and cannot be left in 'safe' places, but there is the option for an alternative shipping address when processing the orders.   International orders are sent via tracked Airmail, and whilst we're happy to ship internationally, we are not responsible for any charges that may be added in your own country.

Delivery charges are worked out automatically by weight and you can clearly see the delivery charges before purchase.  On the rare occasion delivery charges are miscalculated by the website, a refund will be sent, as it is not our policy to make money on postage charges and neither do we add the cost of delivery into the price and offer so-called  'free delivery' like some sites and Ebay pressurise sellers to do!

Wherever possible with larger parcels, we try to re-use boxes to keep shipping costs down and protect the environment.

If a product is out of stock and the order contains multiple items, the 'in stock' items will be sent immediately and further items will follow upon arrival with no further postage charges. 


RETURNS

Masks and most products cannot be exchanged, unless faulty, due to health and hygiene issues, in accordance with the Consumer Contracts Regulations, (as stated in our 'Terms and Conditions' ) and where you will find our return address, so if you are unsure about any product please contact us BEFORE purchase or BEFORE opening a sealed packet.

Unopened (sealed) products in their original packing can be returned within 14 days for a refund of the product cost, but purchaser to pay return postage.  This excludes any faulty goods, for which postage will be reimbursed.  A full refund for the price of the product will be issued when received by us, less the original postage charges when the order was sent to you.

 

VAT DECLARATION/INFORMATION

Most of the products we sell are eligible for Zero Rated VAT in the UK and Europe, and in order to qualify, you should meet the criteria for the following HMRC VAT Declaration:-

  1. You or the person you are purchasing on behalf of have "a condition which the medical profession treats as a chronic sickness," (sleep apnoea and sleep disordered breathing, which require therapy, are such conditions).
