This 'Therapy Mask 3100' is the newest mask from Philips Respironics and will hopefully be a gamechanger for nasal breathers due to it being both economical for clinics and to purchase. It is also very lightweight and Philips Respironics have already won an iF Award for the mask before its official release.
Philips Respironics state the mask is "28% smaller and 18% lighter than the leading competitive pillows mask" which is something all patients strive for!
Extremely lightweight and early feedback from patients are that they could barely feel the mask and was less-cumbersome than previous ones they had used.
The headgear is a unique experience and described by patients (especially ladies) that the headgear operates like bra straps and easy to adjust. There is no strap going around the back of the neck which can be a cause of discomfort to some patients.
Very cost-effective compared to other quality masks in single sizes.
Fitting the cradle cushion or pillows to the mask is so easy, and the pull on the magnet amazing, making it impossible to put the cushion or pillows on the frame the wrong way!
For first-time-users of the mask, there is a 'Demo Pack' version to find the correct size, and a huge bonus is that all sizes of both the under-the-nose cradle cushions and the nasal pillows are supplied, so as well as selecting the correct size patients can also select whether the cushion or pillows suit them best. Alternatively, there is the option to select the 'FitPack' version for which we have ensured contains all the sizes of either the under-the-nose cradle cushions or the nasal pillows (please note that the official Philips version of the 'fitpacks' only contain 3 sizes). Future masks in the single size packs, once the correct size is known, are very economical compared to other quality masks.
Another good mask for people who like wearing their reading glasses with the mask on.
The only slight issue is that the fabric attached to the mask frame is a little fiddly to remove for washing, but will be easier once mastered or it could perhaps be washed whilst still attached to the frame.
Everything clicks, right from the start...
It is highly recommended when new to the mask to purchase either the 'Demo Pack' or 'FitPack' options so that all sizes of the cradle cushions or nasal pillows can be tried. The difference shows on the table below is that the 'Demo Pack' is the most expensive as it contains all the sizes of the cradle cushions and the pillows, whereas the Hope2Sleep version of the 'FitPack' contains all the sizes of either the cradle cushions or pillows.
For further purchases of the masks once the correct size is known, both options of the masks can be bought in one single size at a very cost-effective price for a quality mask. Replacement Headgear, Nasal Cradle Cushions, Nasal Pillows and Mini Hose Swivel can also be bought as replacement parts.

DO NOT attempt to take off the small mini tube from the black plastic frame as it is one sealed unit. The frame with the mini tube attached can be purchased separately as an accessory.
If you require a Mini Hose Cover to insulate the small mini tube to avoid 'rainout' (water in the tube) the 12 inch option will work well.
The mask contains a magnet to connect the cushion or pillows, so please read 'Important Notes' below.
The 3100 Mask's Cradle Cushion and Nasal Pillows contain a Strong Magnet
As of August 2022, Philips Respironics is updating its existing contraindications and warnings to the following:
Contraindication: Use of the mask is contraindicated for patients and their household members, caregivers, and bed partners that may be in close vicinity to patients using the masks, that have implanted devices that may be affected by magnets, including but not limited to:-

With the exception of the devices identified in the contraindication, ensure the mask is kept at least 6 inches (approx. 15.24 cm) away from any other medical implants or medical devices that can be impacted by the magnetic fields to avoid possible effects from localized magnetic fields. This includes household members, caregivers, and bed partners that may be in close vicinity to patients that use the masks.

I have had several different nasal masks in the past but this one fits well and is comfortable. Service was excellent with swift delivery.

Response:
Great to hear with the mask still being so new 🙂
Bought this as a trial. It fits really well and is easy to use. Unfortunately I kept getting rainout because I use a humidifier on my machine. I would still recommend it though because it was very comfortable.
Glad to hear it's comfortable and please see our post on 'rainout' by copying and pasting this link https://www.hope2sleep.co.uk/water-in-the-mask-hose-known-as-rainout.html It's likely that a hose cover on your large hose would help and a mini hose cover on the small tube on the mask
By far the absolute most comfortable mask I have tried so far. Excellent for side sleepers and I find the adjustable straps to be 100% better than velcro, much more comfortable and easier to adjust to exact requirements. Also extremely quiet compared to other nasal cushions.
Lovely to hear this Amanda, and even more pleased for you with this 3100 being such a less expensive mask than others 😊
I've been using a full face mask ever since being diagnosed years ago, but when the email arrived about this mask I thought I'd try it.Even though I believe I'm a switcher between nose and mouth breathing.Whether or not I will be able to get through a night with just nasal breathing is still to be confirmed, but this mask is brilliant and I'll be disappointed if I can't use it.The medium size fits perfectly and you hardly know it's there and the lightweight straps work just as described. This is a winner and you should try it.I found it very strange if you try to breath through your mouth or speak but we'll see how it goes.
So pleased to hear you're finding the mask good and hope you can convert to nasal breathing - at least for the majority of the time. Good luck Martin🤞
I’ve been using Resmed nasal pillows for 2 years with the only problem being some leakage. When this new mask was available on Hope2Sleep website I decided to try the nasal cushion to see if there was less leakage. However I have been unable to get used to it. As other people have commented on its the feeling of not being able to breathe in enough air. Is this due to the much smaller diameter hose? I might try the nasal pillows at some stage.
It could well be that the nasal pillows will suit you better Ann, and thanks for the review which is so important to help others - especially with new masks.
So comfortable and easy to put on and I am off to sleep in no time! Prefer it to my usual mask .
So pleased to hear this Jane 😊
I am a nasal mask user of many years. I tried out the new under the nose 3100 Philips mask. Plus points it’s very light and a good fit. You hardly know it’s there. Minus points it’s hard to exhale and if I had been a new CPAP user I would have given up. Also for night time loo visits it’s harder to get on and off. You can keep it on and pull out the pipe but I find that strange. I changed my machine setting from nasal to pillows which helped with the breathing out. Overall I am not ready to permanently change to this mask but may in the future.
Thanks for your constructive review in these early days of this new mask.
Therapy mask 3100. I would like to share my experience of this new £32 mask. I am fortunate in that I get my mask free on the NHS but wanted to try this new one as my current nasal pillows have been causing some discomfort recently. Appearance is like the nasal pillows I have but sits below the nose. The hose between the mask and connector for the long hose is much shorter and slimmer than any mask I have had so far. It's easily adjusted, but the adjusting point is on the left which is the side I sleep on and while being small is metal which can dig into my head if I sleep in the wrong position. My masks have all had the adjuster on the right and have been made of soft plastic - maybe rubber? I have not yet got used to the exhaled air vent so have not yet mastered keeping my covers in the correct place to avoid getting blasted with cold air I have only done 3 nights with the mask but despite the little niggles I have not found anything, that with a little adjustment, cannot be overcome. Today I found a little cover with velcro which I will place over the metal adjuster. The shorter hose has been brilliant for me as the long hose is waaaay too long for where I have my machine and being narrower has made no real difference to me at all as the connector is still the correct fit. So far I would say if you use this sort of mask give it a go.
Thanks Helen for such a detailed review which we're sure will help others, and glad you're liking the mask 😊
I found this mask to be the best nasal one I've used, even though it's cheaper than the others I've tried. It's very light and hard to believe you're wearing a mask and the magnet for the cushion makes fitting the cushion a doddle. I intend to try the pillows version next.
Although I'm a mouth breather (but can nose breathe when my sinuses aren't playing up) I had to try this and I love it! It's far better for me than the N20.The mask is so lightweight and when my sinuses did play up a a few days (not the mask's problem) I hated having to come off the 3100 mask but will be using it regularly when I can. Hope Philips will give us the same mask in a full face version.
Great to hear this and hope you can get your sinus problem sorted, or like you say Philips will listen to feedback and bring out a full face one 🙏

Shipping
We try our best to ship all orders received by us Monday-Friday on the same working day if received before 12 noon, and more often than not orders processed before 3pm will be despatched the same day whenever possible. Weekend or UK bank holiday orders are sent out the next working day. An automated email is sent when products have been despatched so please check your spam box and add us to your safe senders list. Also, if you do not receive an email confirmation, please check that you have typed the correct email address in your account.
All orders are sent via 1st class mail within the UK. Masks and some other more expensive products are always sent via 'signed for' insured delivery and cannot be left in 'safe' places, but there is the option for an alternative shipping address when processing the orders.
Delivery charges are worked out automatically by weight and you can clearly see the delivery charges before making a payment. On the rare occasion delivery charges are miscalculated by the website, a refund will be sent, as it is not our policy to make money on postage charges and neither do we add the cost of delivery into the price and offer so-called 'free delivery' like some sites and Ebay pressurise sellers to do!
Wherever possible with larger parcels, we try to re-use boxes to keep shipping costs down and protect the environment.
If a product is out of stock and the order contains multiple items, the 'in stock' items will be sent immediately and further items will follow upon arrival with no further postage charges incurred.
Important for International Orders
We can ship most products internationally, but all prices are in UK British Pounds and if paying by debit or credit card the bank will automatically convert to the current conversation rate. Likewise, if you choose the Paypal option, they will convert into your currency for you as payment is made.
International orders are sent via tracked Airmail, and whilst we're happy to ship internationally, we cannot be held responsible for any delays at Customs at your end, or charges that may be added in your own country, such as customs fees and import tax on delivery, which are determined by your country’s import laws and are beyond our control. Therefore, it is the customer’s responsibility to pay these charges, and certain courier companies will not be able to deliver the goods to you without pre-payment of any charges. From our experience, it appears to be randomised as to which parcels incur extra charges, but please know that all accompanying paperwork is filled in correctly when shipping and there is nothing more we can do, as much as we'd like to.If you purchase from us out of the UK or you move to another country after purchasing products, please be aware that the warranty for CPAP machines, masks and parts from the manufacturers are under warranty with the manufacturer based in the UK, so you will be responsible for sending the product back to us and will need to pay postage to get the product back to you after exchange or repair, as the manufacturer will not pay for shipping in any country outside of the UK.
Masks, CPAP machines and and most other products are exempt from a refund or exchange unless faulty due to health and hygiene issues - as stated in our 'Terms and Conditions', and in particular due to the risk of cross contamination as they cannot be re-sold. The Consumer Contracts Regulations 28.(3)(a) confirms exemption as follows:- "exemption in the case of a contract for the supply of sealed goods which are not suitable for return due to health protection or hygiene reasons, if they become unsealed after delivery."
Unopened (sealed) products in their original packing can be returned within 14 days for a refund of the product cost, but the purchaser is to pay the return postage, and we would advise retaining proof of postage. This excludes any faulty goods, for which postage will be reimbursed. A full refund for the price of the product will be issued when received by us, less the original postage charges when the order was sent to you.
