Home > CPAP Chinstraps + Alternative Headgear
Part Number: 1012911Brand: Philips Respironics
This Premium Chinstrap is proving to be Respironics' most popular one, and is a good choice for people who need more support in keeping their mouth closed during sleep. It promotes a vertical angle, as opposed to horizontal, to help reduce the potential of inducing sleep-related events. The bottom of the strap has an integrated chin cup, providing comfortable support plus an adjustable support strap for extra stability. The main strap itself measures approx 2" wide x 27" long.
The Chinstrap helps to prevent air flow leaking from the mouth by holding the chin in an appropriate position which encourages breathing through the nose. Mouth breathers tend to use these chin straps with nasal masks to prevent mouth breathing, which results in dry airways and reduces CPAP therapy effectiveness.
Very good quality and comfortable product but I canít use it with my DreamWear Nasal Mask worn either under or over it. I imagine it is quite hot to wear too.

That's a shame to hear Deborah, as many people use this chinstrap successfully with their DreamWear mask, but unfortunately not every product suits us all which is why we have to try several options until we find what works for each over us. Do call us if you'd like any further help.
This is the second one of these my husband has had and is the best one he has tried. Although it is expensive it does last a long time. He has tried lots of cheaper ones which fall apart in no time. Worth investing is this one.
You're correct there are lots of cheap chinstraps that don't do the job well and fall apart. So pleased it's helping your husband 😊
Bought for use with Bleeps Dreamport system . Keeps my mouth shut comfortably and get a good nights sleep
Very easy to use and comfortable to wear ,helps with my therapy greatly.
Unfortunately with the very hot conditions we are experiencing at the moment the chin strap has brought me out in a rash so not able to use it right now,

Yes, these hot nights are challenging, so hopefully when the temperature drops (not that I'm wanting it too lol) then the heat rash will go.
It may seen expensive but it's the best chin strap I have found.

I didn't find this any good. According to my auto machine I snored more wearing it than without

Sorry you didn't find the chin strap helpful Les as in actual fact this Premium one is the one most people prefer. See if you can get the angle right, as if you have it so that your jaw is pushing further back then it could cause more snoring rather than less.
I tried the cheaper chin strap first and it was comfortable but my mouth was still opening. With this premium chin strap it does the job so was worth the extra money!

This chin strap is just the job for me to keep my mouth closed as I much prefer using nasal masks to the bigger ones that cover the mouth.

We try our best to ship all orders received by us Monday-Friday on the same working day if received before 12 noon, and more often than not orders processed before 3 pm will be despatched the same day whenever possible. Weekend or UK bank holiday orders are sent out the next working day. An automated email is sent when products have been despatched so please check your spam box and add us to your safe senders list. Also, if you do not receive an email confirmation, please check that you have typed the correct email address in your account.
All orders are sent via 1st class mail within the UK. Masks and some other more expensive products are always sent via 'signed for' insured delivery and cannot be left in 'safe' places, but there is the option for an alternative shipping address when processing the orders. International orders are sent via tracked Airmail, and whilst we're happy to ship internationally, we cannot be held responsible for any charges that may be added in your own country.
Delivery charges are worked out automatically by weight and you can clearly see the delivery charges before purchase. On the rare occasion delivery charges are miscalculated by the website, a refund will be sent, as it is not our policy to make money on postage charges and neither do we add the cost of delivery into the price and offer so-called 'free delivery' like some sites and Ebay pressurise sellers to do!
Wherever possible with larger parcels, we try to re-use boxes to keep shipping costs down and protect the environment.
If a product is out of stock and the order contains multiple items, the 'in stock' items will be sent immediately and further items will follow upon arrival with no further postage charges incurred.
Masks, CPAP machines and and most other products are exempt from a refund or exchange unless faulty due to health and hygiene issues (as stated in our 'Terms and Conditions'), and in particular due to the risk of cross contamination as they cannot be re-sold. The Consumer Contracts Regulations 28.(3)(a) confirms exemption as follows:- "exemption in the case of a contract for the supply of sealed goods which are not suitable for return due to health protection or hygiene reasons, if they become unsealed after delivery."
Unopened (sealed) products in their original packing can be returned within 14 days for a refund of the product cost, but the purchaser is to pay the return postage, and we would advise retaining proof of postage. This excludes any faulty goods, for which postage will be reimbursed. A full refund for the price of the product will be issued when received by us, less the original postage charges when the order was sent to you.
