Sunset Healthcare Solutions

The CPAP Cream is now back in production, in response to popular demand after the original manufacturer, Lousal, closed.  This amazing cream not only has magic healing properties, but is a safe cream to use for breathing and with no damage to CPAP and ventilation equipment.

*30/04/21....GREAT NEWS yes*  The CPAP Cream is back (now in different packaging) with another manufacturer with the same magic ingredients that have helped so many people over the years.

NOTE:  The Cann-Ease Nasal Moisturiser will also stay - will be keeping both products as they compliment each other, and there will always be people who prefer one or the other /cann-ease-cpap-oxygen-nasal-moisturiser-for-nose-lips-and-skin.html

This CPAP Moisture Therapy Cream has been designed specifically for the CPAP/APAP/BIPAP/Ventilator and Oxygen Mask Users as it contains NO Petroleum Based Ingredients, which should NEVER be used with the masks.  It is also free from alcohol which damages the mask cushions!

The cream helps prevent and heal skin problems such as chafing, irritation, dryness, soreness or cracking from using a nasal or full face mask, and can be used WITH the mask and applied to the areas where the mask meets the face.  Many people who previously used night cream now use this instead to keep their skin moisturised!

For nasal pillows the cream can be applied to the outside and inside of the nostrils before inserting the pillows.  The cream can be used as often as needed to form a resilient moisture protective barrier, and many users are reporting their masks seal better after applying the cream to the area where the seal meets the face, which is possibly due to the cream's thick consistency.

For any mask sores it is also advisable to apply the cream several times a day until the skin has healed, and then continue use at night with the mask to prevent a flare-up.  Incidentally, the cream has other uses for skin issues and many people keep a tube in the medicine cabinet for general use!

Below is a genuine image a parent sent us after just a day or so of using the cream, and she has kindly given us permission to share this to help others:-

Nice lightweight cream, quickly absorbed, nice to have something I can put on at bedtime and know it won't make my mask slide about. Service was awesome, ordered on a Friday, delivered the next day!

Luscious moisturiser
09 March 2024  |

I was a bit hesitant about using this product as I have sensitive skin. However, it’s turned out to be a great cream helping to keep my skin moisturised without any issues. Ive had trouble with dry and itchy nose so have added a bit of extra cream on just before putting my mask on and this has helped greatly.

So pleased to hear the cream hasn't caused a reaction Monica and also it's worked for the 'itchy nose' problem 🙂 You may find you get de-sensitised to the itch in time.....

Still deciding
07 March 2024  |

I am going to assume that this cream works well, I haven't been using it long enough to decide definitively but a little seems to go a long way and it spreads and soaks in easily. It's just the smell which is off putting. It would have been so much nicer if there was a very subtle but pleasant scent added to it.

Having had a bad cold resulting in a sore nose I found that this cream was able to be used inside the nostril too which was a great help as I use a nasal mask. Help ease the soreness outside and inside.

Good to have to hand
23 December 2023  |

Found it great for quickly hydrating my (aging) skin in the morning to remove any residual mask lines or marks left by mask or straps. A little bit goes a long way and it’s easily absorbed and non-greasy.

Also worked for improving the contact areas of my silicone mask to get better seal, particularly if having to reposition the mask if I’d started to get small leaks in the night - much easier, quicker and less disruptive than getting up and washing my mask and face to re-establish a good seal.

I’ve been lucky so far and not had any experiences of having to use it in on mask sores or rashes, so can’t comment on this.

I’m particularly sensitive to a lot of topical creams and shaving creams (even the ones that claim to be ‘hypoallergenic’), but this cream has caused me no problems and I don’t find it’s scent overpowering either, so would trust it as being towards the better end of what’s labelled as ‘hypoallergenic’

Only issue I have found is that the cream is very light and runny, so prone to coming out of the tube in greater quantities than is needed. So I’ve probably wasted more than I’ve actually applied! BEWARE!

While as a male it seems like a pricey proposition, in the scale of skin care products and cosmetics, it seems fairly reasonably and typically priced, so I can’t complain.

Comparing it to Cann-Ease, CPAP Moisture Therapy Cream seems more easily absorbed into the skin and is not so sticky when applying. I found that Cann-Ease seems to dry out after a bit and sits more on the skin than this cream, but Cann-Ease seems to be used as much as a lubricant and protective barrier coating as moisturiser, while CPAP Moisture Therapy Cream more functions as a skin conditioner and repairer - horses for courses!

Feels soothing on skin
10 November 2023  |

This cream feels soothing on skin and is compatible with my reactive / sensitive skin. I gave 4 stars for th following drawbacks: it smells slightly off (like a verly slightly rancid vegetable oil), it is expensive and the pack is tiny. Please produce in 50 and 100ml value packs.

Response:

Good to hear it's helping, even with your sensitive skin and we do hear this a lot from others 😊 We too wish the manufacturer would product it in bigger sizes.

ORDERS

Shipping

We try our best to ship all orders received by us Monday-Friday on the same working day if received before 12 noon, and more often than not orders processed before 3pm will be despatched the same day whenever possible.  Weekend or UK bank holiday orders are sent out the next working day.  An automated email is sent when products have been despatched so please check your spam box and add us to your safe senders list.  Also, if you do not receive an email confirmation, please check that you have typed the correct email address in your account.

All orders are sent via 1st class mail within the UK.  Masks and some other more expensive products are always sent via 'signed for' insured delivery and cannot be left in 'safe' places, but there is the option for an alternative shipping address when processing the orders.

Delivery charges are worked out automatically by weight and you can clearly see the delivery charges before making a payment.  On the rare occasion delivery charges are miscalculated by the website, a refund will be sent, as it is not our policy to make money on postage charges and neither do we add the cost of delivery into the price and offer so-called  'free delivery' like some sites and Ebay pressurise sellers to do!

Wherever possible with larger parcels, we try to re-use boxes to keep shipping costs down and protect the environment.

If a product is out of stock and the order contains multiple items, the 'in stock' items will be sent immediately and further items will follow upon arrival with no further postage charges incurred.

Important for International Orders

We can ship most products internationally, but all prices are in UK British Pounds and if paying by debit or credit card the bank will automatically convert to the current conversation rate.  Likewise, if you choose the Paypal option, they will convert into your currency for you as payment is made.

International orders are sent via tracked Airmail, and whilst we're happy to ship internationally, we cannot be held responsible for any delays at Customs at your end, or charges that may be added in your own country, such as customs fees and import tax on delivery, which are determined by your country’s import laws and are beyond our control. Therefore, it is the customer’s responsibility to pay these charges, and certain courier companies will not be able to deliver the goods to you without pre-payment of any charges. From our experience, it appears to be randomised as to which parcels incur extra charges, but please know that all accompanying paperwork is filled in correctly when shipping and there is nothing more we can do, as much as we'd like to.

If you purchase from us out of the UK or you move to another country after purchasing products, please be aware that the warranty for CPAP machines, masks and parts from the manufacturers are under warranty  with the manufacturer based in the UK, so you will be responsible for sending the product back to us and will need to pay postage to get the product back to you after exchange or repair, as the manufacturer will not pay for shipping in any country outside of the UK.

RETURNS

Masks, CPAP machines and and most other products are exempt from a refund or exchange unless faulty due to health and hygiene issues - as stated in our 'Terms and Conditions', and in particular due to the risk of cross contamination as they cannot be re-sold. The Consumer Contracts Regulations 28.(3)(a) confirms exemption as follows:-  "exemption in the case of a contract for the supply of sealed goods which are not suitable for return due to health protection or hygiene reasons, if they become unsealed after delivery."

Unopened (sealed) products in their original packing can be returned within 14 days for a refund of the product cost, but the purchaser is to pay the return postage, and we would advise retaining proof of postage. This excludes any faulty goods, for which postage will be reimbursed.  A full refund for the price of the product will be issued when received by us, less the original postage charges when the order was sent to you.
