These CPAP, BiPAP + Ventilator Mask Strap Covers help prevent face marks caused by the mask headgear straps, add comfort and are also helpful in protecting the skin from rare allergies some people have from the strap material.
They are handmade locally and exclusively for Hope2Sleep, here in the UK and there are 3 options - single thickness, double thickness and one for the Wisp Mask Frame.
Please Note - if your problem area is more at the back of the neck, we have an alternative strap cover for this - see the Mask Neck Comfort Strap Cover instead.
The Mask Strap Covers are available as either:-
These are handmade in the UK with 16 various designs and colours available to match our other fleece comfort products:-
The Single and Double Strap Covers are secured over the mask straps with velcro, and they can also be reversed to cut down on washing them too often.
Fix the strap covers to the strap with the velcro facing outwards as it is easier to adjust them if necessary and there will be no risk of the velcro touching the skin.
The pictures show 2 pairs of strap covers on the masks as an illustration of how they fit to the upper and lower headgear straps. However, most people only need them on the lower straps, so if you do need protection from both areas 2 pairs should be ordered. (If you want to use them with masks like the Philips Respironics' Amara View, Innomed's Hybrid or the Resmed Mirage Liberty whose top straps come lower down the face you may want to order 2 pairs for full protection).
Due to the smaller size of the products, the Strap Covers supplied in the patterned designs will not always have a lot of the pattern showing like on the larger Hose Covers.
Soooo pleased with my trendy looking cheek straps. Soft for sleeping and now I don't have to get up half hour early waiting for strap marks to fade. Great buy

So pleased to hear how much these simple strap covers have helped you Karena 😊
Strap mask covers work really well. Only problem is their application to my mask. (1) The straps on the 'harness' have hooks the same width as the strap, so the covers occasionally slip off, over the hooks, when putting on the mask. (2) the straps are narrow, so when the cover is wrapped tight (as needed because of the hooks issue) the velcro only just lines up.These are minor niggles. All in all, though, very happy to NOT have strap marks 2 hours after waking up, which was what happened before.
Good to hear your strap marks have disappeared, albeit with the minor niggles. It's hard to get them universal for all the different mask straps so sometimes tweaks are required. Thanks for the review.
This is great, I was getting a very sore neck from the straps on my bipap machine, but not any longer. VERY highly recommend this for anyone in a similar position.
We love hearing reviews like this - such a small accessory which can really add comfort to our sleep
The added softness with the extra padding, has made much more comfortable to sleep. Easy to fit, and no strap marks in the morning. I would recommend and will be buying another pair.
So pleased to hear this. It's often the small things that make such a huge difference for us all 😊
Quite confortable, a bit too large around the straps of my harness (Airfit 20), but still a good accessory for comfort. Ideally, for ResMed standard straps, like Airfit 20 & similar, it should be 1 cm shorter around the strap, and 2 cm longer on the width between mask and neck. For reference: I use a Airfit system with facial mask F20 medium, and harness medium.
Glad they're helping. It's hard getting an exact fit with the 100's of masks and sizes, but bearing this in mind we're proud most people find them helpful 😊
Would not be without strap covers, no longer have I marks on my face for hours after removing my mask. A great buy.
Great to hear Linda 😊
There is no doubt that these work at reducing the marks which can be caused by the straps on ventilator masks. However, the picture is misleading - you only get 2 covers ie either for cheeks or for forehead - you'll need a second pack if you want them for cheeks AND forehead as shown in the picture. Therefore at £11.00 some people may consider these very expensive and hence the reason for only 3 stars. It's a shame, as it's a good product.
Sorry you failed to see the 'Important Note' on the website highlighted in red font, which explains how we've pictured the strap covers on both the upper and lower straps to show people they can be used wherever they need them! Good to hear they're helping you though.
This product makes wearing a mask more comfortable. I wish I had discovered it before. I bought it to reduce to lines on the face when you wake up which it does but it also makes the mask feel less clinical.
I found these covers to be just what i needed, no more strap marks covering my face.
The wisp mask used to be covered with fabric, but the most recent model I received was plastic. It is probably more durable, but I hated the feel of it on my face! Hope2Sleep to the rescue! The fleece cover makes it so much easier to wear and fall asleep, and I really appreciate how fast it arrived - the day after I placed the order! Thank you!
They do still make the fabric version of the Wisp Michelle, but sounds like your hospital gave you the silicone this time. You're right the silicone is more robust, but it's easier to clean than the fabric so it's preference which people prefer. Glad the cover helped you 🙂
