We're finally pleased to introduce a safe CPAP Hose Brush made of silicone, as we've always been too wary of selling the wire ones, due to hearing of many people damaging their hoses.
This new Silicone Hose Cleaning Tube Brush is a welcome product from the Republic of Sleep, taking away the risk of damage to hoses that can sometimes happen with wire brushes. Also, the silicone is more flexible than a bristle brush head as well as safer, and the wire is plastic-coated making it more comfortable to use, and it contains no latex. There is also a small weight on the end to feed through the tube.
The Silicone Hose Cleaning Tube Brush is compatible with most tubing - both standard 19 mm and slimmer 15 mm hoses, but will not work with the travel CPAP machines with the tiny hoses.
This cleaning brush is more expensive than the alternative wire CPAP brushes, which we've never stocked due to hearing of people accidentally damaging their hoses with them, but this new silicone one is certainly cheaper than having to replace a damaged hose! Instructions for use are included in the packaging, and they do suggest storing it as a coil, meaning less storage space is needed or it can be hung from a hook.
This Silicone Hose Brush Cleaner is compatible with most tubing, but WILL NOT work with the small tubing on travel machines such as the Philips DreamStation or Resmed Air Mini.
CPAP and ventilator hoses should be cleaned at least once a week, as advised by all the machine manufacturers to keep them dust, mould and bacteria-free. This is just as important whether or not a CPAP humidifier is used and if it's not clean and fresh an odour/unpleasant smell can end up being blown into the mask.
Yes, I really like this brush. I used to just slosh water from one end to the other whilst in the shower, now I feel I can get really clean, just wish I could get something to really dry it out in winter. But really happy thanks.

Quick and easy to clean your hose
A four-star rating because I have not had the hose cleaning brush long enough to assess its durability and a possible five stars. However, this simple, well-designed piece of equipment has answered the problem of cleaning my CPAP tubing. The 'brush' comes with a long cord which is weighted making it straightforward to thread through the tube. It requires some effort to pull the brush through but this contributes to its ability to clean thoroughly. As I have only recently purchased the 'brush', I cannot say how well it will last. It appears to be strong and it is easy to clean. The biggest problems with it are where to store it when not in use and its cost.£25 seemed a lot of money to pay for it but, if the 'brush' continues to perform well over several years, it will be money well spent.I wish all CPAP users could try one.

Thanks for your thorough in-depth review.
I like this item very much. It does a great job of keeping my CPAP tube clean. The only thing that I have done to make it better is put a piece of cotton cloth at the end to take any watter droplets out. It is well worth the money plus you get a great service from Hope2sleep
I have used this twice now. I use it every Sunday when I do my deep clean of CPAP paraphernalia. I have a F&P heated hose and it's fine going in the end without the elbow although I found when I try to put it in the elbow end it gets stuck a bit. Next time going to do it just from one end. I tend to do half one way and half the other as haven't found it easy yet to do the whole length but I'm sure it's just I need to lay the hose out more which isn't easy in our small bathroom. The price put me off to start but seeing it warns not too use metal Brushes in the cpap manual I decided to get it. For me it's knowing that it has cleaned better than just swishing out the tube. So over all I'm happy with it and don't regret buying it. I think it's just a few more uses to really get use to getting it all the way through the tube😊
Been using a wire cleaning brush but decided to buy the silicone hose cleaning brush, I'm finding it a lot easier to use with no worry about damaging the hose very pleased with it
Does exactly what it says on the tin.
It seems to work fine but it is hard to tell how well it cleans. It seems rather expensive for what it is. No idea on how long it lasts, as have only used it a few times.
The price isn't something we have control over due to having to import the new silicone brush from the USA, but we're hoping it will last a very long time 🤞
This is my first purchase of a hose brush – up until now, I’ve just followed the normal instructions when washing the long hose. It took me a couple of tries to get the hang of it, but now I really like it. I feel almost certainly that it cleans the hose more thoroughly. It is on the expensive side, though, so probably a luxury item.
We also wish it was cheaper Judy, but glad you're finding it useful 😊
I already have the brush style cleaner that is quite difficult to drag through and I worry what damage it is causing so I bought this one. It is easier to pull through, but still does get stuck on occasion. I’m not sure how thorough it cleans.

Shipping
We try our best to ship all orders received by us Monday-Friday on the same working day if received before 12 noon, and more often than not orders processed before 3pm will be despatched the same day whenever possible. Weekend or UK bank holiday orders are sent out the next working day. An automated email is sent when products have been despatched so please check your spam box and add us to your safe senders list. Also, if you do not receive an email confirmation, please check that you have typed the correct email address in your account.
All orders are sent via 1st class mail within the UK. Masks and some other more expensive products are always sent via 'signed for' insured delivery and cannot be left in 'safe' places, but there is the option for an alternative shipping address when processing the orders.
Delivery charges are worked out automatically by weight and you can clearly see the delivery charges before making a payment. On the rare occasion delivery charges are miscalculated by the website, a refund will be sent, as it is not our policy to make money on postage charges and neither do we add the cost of delivery into the price and offer so-called 'free delivery' like some sites and Ebay pressurise sellers to do!
Wherever possible with larger parcels, we try to re-use boxes to keep shipping costs down and protect the environment.
If a product is out of stock and the order contains multiple items, the 'in stock' items will be sent immediately and further items will follow upon arrival with no further postage charges incurred.
Important for International Orders
We can ship most products internationally, but all prices are in UK British Pounds and if paying by debit or credit card the bank will automatically convert to the current conversation rate. Likewise, if you choose the Paypal option, they will convert into your currency for you as payment is made.
International orders are sent via tracked Airmail, and whilst we're happy to ship internationally, we cannot be held responsible for any delays at Customs at your end, or charges that may be added in your own country, such as customs fees and import tax on delivery, which are determined by your country’s import laws and are beyond our control. Therefore, it is the customer’s responsibility to pay these charges, and certain courier companies will not be able to deliver the goods to you without pre-payment of any charges. From our experience, it appears to be randomised as to which parcels incur extra charges, but please know that all accompanying paperwork is filled in correctly when shipping and there is nothing more we can do, as much as we'd like to.If you purchase from us out of the UK or you move to another country after purchasing products, please be aware that the warranty for CPAP machines, masks and parts from the manufacturers are under warranty with the manufacturer based in the UK, so you will be responsible for sending the product back to us and will need to pay postage to get the product back to you after exchange or repair, as the manufacturer will not pay for shipping in any country outside of the UK.
Masks, CPAP machines and and most other products are exempt from a refund or exchange unless faulty due to health and hygiene issues - as stated in our 'Terms and Conditions', and in particular due to the risk of cross contamination as they cannot be re-sold. The Consumer Contracts Regulations 28.(3)(a) confirms exemption as follows:- "exemption in the case of a contract for the supply of sealed goods which are not suitable for return due to health protection or hygiene reasons, if they become unsealed after delivery."
Unopened (sealed) products in their original packing can be returned within 14 days for a refund of the product cost, but the purchaser is to pay the return postage, and we would advise retaining proof of postage. This excludes any faulty goods, for which postage will be reimbursed. A full refund for the price of the product will be issued when received by us, less the original postage charges when the order was sent to you.
