This new Amara View really is the first mask of it's kind, in that as well as full face mask users being able to wear reading glasses, there are NO nasal pillows requiring insertion into the nostrils, as there is an opening for the base of the nose to sit into, with this under-the-nose design. Nasal bridge sores really will be a thing of the past with this mask!
This new Amara View Mask really is proving to have high success rates amongst patients, which is indeed a good sign as getting the 'right' mask is a very individual selection process, and it is much harder to get a minimal contact mask for mouth breathers.

Enjoy the view - the widest field of vision of all leading full face masks! An idea whose time has come.......
The Amara View’s incredible under-the-nose design makes it the only full face mask that won’t cause red marks on the bridge of your nose when compared to the market leaders. Amara View is also the smallest, lightest and has the widest field of vision of all leading full face masks. It’s easy to wear glasses, read, watch TV, and use a computer or tablet.
Unlike most full face masks, Amara View’s cushion size is determined by measuring the depth of the nose using the simple sizing gauge. Amara View covers less of a patient’s face than all leading full face masks. (An observation noted is that when people appear to be on the borderline of 2 sizes, selecting the smaller size seems to work better).
The Amara View comes in sizes Small, Medium or Large and the standard headgear and small mask mini tubing is included. Additional Extras can be bought of the following:-

This lovely soft mask that has minimal contact with the face hence leaves minimal marks, although very comfortable is sadly no good for me as a mouth breather. The mask that I have is a large (the biggest available) and although I tried several before purchase and this appeared to be the best fit it sadly leaks at the sides as my mouth drops open whilst I am asleep. I have recently tried it with the Sleepseal-Inhilation Valve-sample which was excellent and made a world of difference. Maybe when/if the valves become available on the market then I will be able to wear this mask on a permanent basis.

So sorry to hear this Ronald, as a lot of mouth breathers use the mask with no problems, but as usual 'what suits one person, doesn't always suit another.' It's promising that you'll be able to use it once the SleepSeal mouth valves are available for sale. Kath
Previously a nasal pillow user but reported occasional leaks by spouse. Tried the Amara which works well at start up pressure of 4. That ramps up to 10.5 over 30 mins and I have experienced nocturnal leaks. Face masks have helped to reduce leaks.
During my first year on CPAP I tried 3 or 4 full face masks, from the Quattro Air to the Airfit F20 memory foam. Main problem was the 'pull' on skin near eyes resulting in very red eyes, heavy 'bags and lines....ok, so I'm vain! The Amara View has solved that, is comfortable and effective, and as mentioned, you can wear glasses with it before going to sleep. Only downside is that it's a bit fiddly to get right, but worth persisting. And make sure you get the right size - I travelled from London to Hull for the day to make sure & with Kath's help got the right one! Thanks again Kath!

It was my pleasure to help Carol, and glad the long trip was worth it for you 😊
having had problems with the mask that was supplied to me via the hospital... I went ahead and ordered this mask... I'm so glad I did, it's a lot more comfortable to use, it fits under the nose and not on top, so I no longer have air leaking into my eyes... plus I can also , if needed, use my glasses at the same time, without taking my mask off. Would recommend you try the size guide before ordering, I thought I would need a large, but turned out I only needed a small size..
Apart from being pleased to hear the mask is suiting you well, we agree with your excellent advice regarding checking the size because it's crucial people do this. Usually, any problems we hear of regarding this mask are when the person has not got the correct sized cushion.
I tryed on many masks at the Hope2Sleep shop in Hull. This one by far felt most comfortable and no leaks, is more comfy and I donít get claustraphobic as I had occasionally experienced with my previous full face mask.
Thanks for the update Chris and so pleased the mask is proving to be so well suited for you 😊
I had heard a lot of good things about the Amara View but also a few that didn't like it at all, I wanted to try it but knew it was a gamble, no mask will suit everyone. I am a glasses wearer so part of the appeal was to have a mask that would not make the red mark on my nose become worse, that is certainly being affective. But most importantly, the mask is working very well for me, I am consistently getting an AHI reading below 1.0 and even achieved a 0.1 on one occasion, whereas with my previous mask I was averaging about 2.8, still good I know but always encouraging to get as low as possible AHI.It took some perseverance and fine tuning however, I found that positioning and minor strap adjustments were critical so spent a lot of time getting this right. I do get some leaks at higher pressures but nothing major and I am finding it is encouraging me to side sleep more which keeps the events to a minimum and in turn keeps the required pressures lower. The clips and connecting hose are a little noisy if I have to refit during the night, there is room for improvement but overall I am very happy with my Amara View.Make sure you download a sizing guide before buying, as this mask is about the length of your nose and not the size of your face, I am normally a large but for this mask I am a small.

Good to hear this is the best mask for you so far Malcolm, and excellent tip on the importance of using the sizing gauge as so many people struggle with this mask when given the wrong size. If people measure on the border it's always best to go with the smaller size. Kath
Love this mask....😁It is comfortable to wear. There is a little bit of rasping but it is easy to adjust. I have tried a number of face masks and this one I would recommend
Have found it so much easier to use than the one the hospital gave me....really pleased with it....
It is a very comfortable face mask and it works perfectly. I was given a nasal mask by the NHS but my nose gets blocked very easily ad this is the solution. Thank you.
This mask is very good due to its smaller size if you are a restless sleeper like me. The mask lifts up onto your nose and, providing that the skirt is inflated, actually works well. Its a bit of a bugger to adjust - start with the over the top of the head strap so that the mask seals well to the underside of your nose and then work downwards adjusting the two straps on each side of the mask. Just remember that the skirt around the mask must have air in it and not to pull backwards on the four side straps too much as that stops the skirt inflating and makes it useless.
